How to disassemble the hydraulic cylinder correctly

Hydraulic cylinders are commonly used for lifting, bending, straightening, extrusion, shearing, riveting, jacking, stretching, disassembly, punching, construction steel bar extrusion, bridges, construction machinery and other operations. The damage methods of hydraulic cylinders are usually in the form of strain, electric shock, scratch, fatigue and wear. The existence of damage will affect the sealing performance of the hydraulic cylinder, usually manifested as oil leakage. If it is not repaired in time, the working efficiency of the hydraulic cylinder will be affected, and in severe cases, it will not work, or even cause a production accident. The next thing to introduce is how to properly disassemble the hydraulic cylinder:

(1) In order to prevent the slender parts such as the piston rod from bending or deforming, the support should be balanced with a skid when placed. When disassembling the hydraulic cylinder, prevent damage to the top thread of the piston rod, the thread of the oil port, the surface of the piston rod, and the inner wall of the cylinder liner.

(2) The disassembly of hydraulic cylinders should be carried out in order. Because the structure and size of various hydraulic cylinders are not the same, the disassembly sequence is also slightly different. Generally, the oil in the two chambers of the cylinder should be drained, then the cylinder head should be removed, and the piston and piston rod should be removed. When disassembling the cylinder head of the hydraulic cylinder, special tools should be used for the key or snap ring of the internal key type connection, and the use of flat shovel is prohibited; for the flange type end cover, it is not allowed to hammer or pry hard. When the piston and piston rod are difficult to withdraw, do not force it out, and find out the reason before disassembling.

(3) Before and after dismantling the hydraulic cylinder, try to create conditions to prevent the parts of the hydraulic cylinder from being contaminated by surrounding dust and impurities. For example, the disassembly should be carried out in a clean environment as much as possible; after disassembly, all parts should be covered with plastic cloth, not cotton cloth or other working cloth.

(4) After the hydraulic cylinder is disassembled, check carefully to determine which parts can continue to be used, which parts can be used after repair, and which parts can be replaced.

(5) Carefully clean the parts before assembling the hydraulic cylinder.

(6) When installing the hydraulic cylinder to the main engine, add a seal ring between the inlet and outlet joints and tighten them to prevent oil leakage.

(7) After the hydraulic cylinder is assembled as required, it should perform several reciprocating movements under low pressure to remove the gas in the cylinder.
