The seals of the hydraulic cylinder needs to be replaced. The following briefly introduces the replacement method of the seals of the hydraulic cylinder.
1. We need to carefully check whether the new seals has abnormal problems, mainly to check whether there are flashes, burrs, cracks, cut edges, pores or looseness on the surface.
2. It is also necessary to ensure that its geometric size and accuracy meet the requirements of the hydraulic cylinder. It should be noted that under normal circumstances, if it is a hole with a combined sealing ring, it mainly includes an O-ring and a wear ring.
Under normal circumstances, O-rings are very elastic, so they can be completed easily during installation. However, the elasticity of the wear ring is poor, so you need to pay attention to not being damaged when installing, so as not to affect the sealing effect of the hydraulic cylinder.
3. We need to take certain measures to avoid its damage. Generally speaking, the wear ring is mainly made of filled PTFE material, so we can first soak it in oil at 100°C for 20 minutes to make it gradually soft, and then install it.
When installing the seals of different specifications, different tools are needed to complete, so as to ensure the effect of the installation. After installation, you also need to check whether it can meet the requirements for use. It should be noted that there should be no wrinkles, twists, or scratches on the seal ring, and no reverse installation is allowed.
