A tow truck hydraulic cylinder cannot be selected by bore and stroke alone. The retracted length, extended length, pin diameter, mounting width, port position, operating pressure and available installation space must also match the equipment.

Before quotation, we review the complete cylinder configuration and compare the supplied dimensions with the application requirements. This helps reduce installation problems, incorrect port orientation and unnecessary modification during assembly.

Each flatbed tow truck hydraulic lift cylinder can be configured around the customer's equipment, operating pressure, installation space and service environment.

Dimensions

The bore, rod diameter, stroke, retracted length and extended length can be manufactured according to the required lifting force, platform movement and installation envelope.

 

Mounting

Clevis, pin-eye, trunnion and customer-specific mounting arrangements can be evaluated according to the equipment structure.

 

Pin diameter, mounting width, alignment and available articulation should be confirmed to reduce side loading and installation stress.

 

Hydraulic Ports

BSP, NPT, SAE and metric port options can be reviewed according to the hydraulic system and local fitting standards.

 

Port size, location and orientation are confirmed on the drawing to help avoid interference with the truck frame, hoses or moving components.

 

Seal Options

Seal materials are selected according to the hydraulic fluid, working pressure, operating temperature, duty cycle and service environment.

 

Available options may include NBR, polyurethane, FKM/Viton and low-temperature sealing materials, subject to engineering confirmation.

Dimensional Inspection

Critical dimensions are checked against the approved drawing.Inspection points may include rod diameter, stroke, retracted length, mounting width, pin holes and hydraulic port location. Customer-designated critical dimensions should be identified before production.

Pressure And Leakage Test

Each completed cylinder is connected to a hydraulic test system and checked for pressure resistance, external leakage and movement throughout the required stroke.

The test conditions are selected according to the approved design and agreed inspection requirements.
 

Protective Packaging

Hydraulic ports are capped to reduce contamination during transportation.

Exposed metal surfaces receive suitable anti-rust protection, and the cylinder is secured to reduce movement and impact inside the package.

Plywood cases, pallets or other export packaging can be selected according to cylinder size, quantity and shipping method.
